Psychological Therapy and Expert Witness Work
Helen has worked for 27 years providing psychological therapy within the National Health service, where she has gained specialist forensic experience, through working in various prisons including a male high security prison and a women’s prison, a high secure psychiatric hospital and a medium secure unit. For the last 16 years I have gained specialist experience of working in secondary care adult mental health services in Leamington Spa and Coventry. I have post-qualification training in a wide variety of therapeutic techniques and approaches.
Helen can offer psychological therapy in the following areas:
- Survivors of traumatic experiences including sexual, physical and psychological abuse including domestic violence.
- Survivors of torture from a diverse range of countries in the world.
- Refugees and asylum seekers, including with interpreters, and is experienced at providing therapy with clients from very many different countries.
- Therapy with adults over 17 years of age and Helen is able to provide therapy using integrative, person-centred and empowering approaches.
- Helen can also offer Expert witness work for solicitors assisting survivors of abuse, violence and torture.

Expert Witness Work
Helen also works as an Expert witness and have provided court reports for compensation cases taken by a firm of solicitors in Manchester for men who were abused as children in care homes as well as women survivors of abuse. She has carried out this work since 1998 and have also given evidence in Court.
Helen is able to offer expert witness work through providing reports for adult survivors (men and women) of sexual, physical or psychological abuse.
